Specialising in Women’s Health
The Balanced Prescription was created to provide women aged 25–50 with a more considered approach to wellbeing.
This is a women’s lifestyle medicine Telehealth practice focused on sustainable, evidence-based health.
Through structured Telehealth programs: Hormone Harmony, Calm & Resilient Women, and Energy Reboot – I support women in improving their health through evidence-based lifestyle change.
This is not about quick fixes.
It is not about rigid rules.
And it is certainly not about perfection.
It is about helping women:
- Feel steady rather than overwhelmed
- Restore energy in a sustainable way
- Support hormonal balance naturally
- Move through life with clarity and resilience
In short, to live their best life in a way that feels grounded and achievable.
I created this practice because I believe women deserve time, attention and a strategic plan, not just reassurance that everything is “fine.”
And because I know, both professionally and personally, that balance is something we build intentionally.
If you would like to explore whether one of my programs may be right for you, I offer a complimentary initial consultation.
You do not have to navigate your health alone.

Welcome To The Balanced Prescription
How We Work Together
The Balanced Prescription provides evidence-based lifestyle medicine support. This service does not replace the care of your GP or primary healthcare provider. I do not diagnose medical conditions, provide GP services, prescribe medication, order acute investigations, or manage urgent or serious symptoms.
My role is to support women who have already seen their GP, have had appropriate medical assessment and investigations within the past 6 months, and have been advised that their symptoms are not caused by a serious underlying medical condition.
To participate in this program, you must confirm that you have no red-flag symptoms such as unexplained weight changes, persistent fever or night sweats, blood in stool or urine, chest pain, shortness of breath, neurological symptoms, severe fatigue, rapid mood changes, or suicidal thoughts. If any of these occur, you must seek immediate medical attention.
Lifestyle medicine is designed to complement — not replace — your medical care. If concerning symptoms arise during the program, or if further evaluation is needed, I may recommend or request that you return to your GP or another healthcare provider for review.

Why I Created The Balanced Prescription
Modern women are capable of extraordinary things.
We build careers. We care for families. We show up for everyone around us. And yet, behind closed doors, many of us are running on empty – hormonally unsettled, emotionally stretched, and constantly fatigued.
As a doctor, I saw this pattern repeatedly.
But long before I was treating women in clinic, I was a woman navigating my own relationship with health.
I have always been passionate about sport, movement and nutrition. From early on, I was drawn to understanding how the body performs, adapts and heals. That interest shaped my medical career, from hospital work to sports medicine, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care, and most recently general practice.
It was in general practice that something became clear.
So many women were not unwell in a way that required immediate medical intervention, but they weren’t thriving either.
Their blood tests were often “normal.”
Yet they felt anything but.
And I understood that deeply.
Like many women, my own understanding of health evolved over time. I came to appreciate that true wellbeing is not about extremes, restriction or perfection. It is about balance – physical, hormonal and emotional. It is about building habits that are sustainable and supportive, not punishing.
That realisation changed the way I practise medicine.
Why Lifestyle Matters
Medication has its place. I prescribe it when needed.
But lifestyle is often the foundation.
Sleep quality, stress regulation, nutrition patterns, strength and movement, nervous system balance. These are not “optional extras”; they are central to how women feel day to day.
And yet, in a standard appointment, there is rarely enough time to address them properly.
I wanted to create something different.
Why Telehealth
Becoming a mother refined my priorities even further.
With a young daughter at home, I became acutely aware of how precious time is — and how important flexibility can be for women managing careers, childcare and everything in between.
Telehealth allows me to deliver structured, intentional care while also being present for my family. It is a model that reflects the balance I believe in professionally and personally.

Is this suitable if I don’t have a formal diagnosis?
- It is suitable if you don’t have a formal diagnosis. Depending on your symptoms and concerns, in some circumstances I may ask that you see a GP for medical clearance before proceeding with the program.
